What this service is

SearchAllCourts is an independent software service that automates searches of publicly accessible court information made available through MassCourts.org. We do not operate the Massachusetts court system, maintain official court records, or independently verify their accuracy. The service is intended to improve search efficiency, not to provide background investigations or eligibility assessments.

Not an official government service

This is not an official government service. It is not the Massachusetts Trial Court, it is not masscourts.org, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Massachusetts Trial Court or any other court or government agency.

We open that public portal and search the departments and divisions it already offers. We do our best to run the search you asked for.

Results may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate

We do not guarantee that a result is accurate, complete, or current. A case can be missing. The portal can be behind the paper file, or still show a case after the court has changed, sealed, or closed it. A search can also stop before every court has been checked.

A name match is not identity verification

A result that shows the same name as the person you meant is not proof that it is the same person. Different people share names, and the portal may not show a date of birth, address, or other detail that tells them apart. We do not verify anyone’s identity.

A court case does not mean someone did something wrong

Being named in a court case does not by itself establish wrongdoing. A filing, charge, complaint, or open case is not a finding of guilt or liability. Cases can be dismissed, resolved in a person’s favor, or brought by mistake, and a party can be a witness, a victim, or a petitioner.

Check the official record with the court

The official record is the one kept by the clerk of the court that has the case. Verify any case with that originating court before you rely on it. A certified copy comes from that clerk.

Not for FCRA-regulated eligibility screening

This service is not a consumer reporting agency and is not offered for use in preparing consumer reports or for making eligibility decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Do not use it, or anything you find with it, to decide anyone’s eligibility for employment, housing or tenancy, credit, insurance, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose.

You use the results at your own risk. This site is not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Before you rely on a result, check it with the clerk or with your own lawyer.

Massachusetts criminal-record law

Massachusetts limits criminal offender record information under General Laws chapter 6, sections 167 through 178B. The official process is iCORI, through the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services.

This site is not iCORI and it is not a criminal offender record information check. Do not use it in place of that process. Do not use results from this site to decide employment, housing, volunteer service, licensing, or any other decision Massachusetts law reserves to an official criminal-record check.

The portal can interrupt a search

The Trial Court portal can ask for a human check, slow down, or be unavailable. A search can stop before every court has been checked. Payments for searches on this site are final and non-refundable.
